Improvado is an AI-powered marketing data platform built for mid-market and enterprise teams. We help companies automate complex marketing data workflows, unify data at scale, and surface insights through BI and AI. Brands like ASUS, Docker, Activision, and H&R Block rely on us to simplify analytics and improve marketing performance.

We're a fast-growing Series A startup backed by $34M in funding and driven by a team that moves fast, stays curious, and cares about high-quality execution.

About the Role

We're looking for someone at the beginning of their automation journey — technically grounded, genuinely curious about AI, and ready to build real things from day one.

This is an operational and hands-on role. You'll sit within the IT & Security function, working directly under our senior IT & AI Automation Engineer, and your job is to keep the engine running while learning how to make it faster. That means handling automation scripts, supporting internal AI tooling, and gradually taking on more complex delivery work as you grow.

We're not looking for someone who has done everything yet — we're looking for someone who picks things up fast, takes ownership seriously, and is already experimenting with AI tools in their personal or professional life.

A Note on How We Work

We're an AI-native team. We use Claude, Cursor, and whatever else gets the job done. We don't expect you to have years of experience with every tool — but we do expect you to be the kind of person who tries things, ships things, and figures it out. If you're already using AI tools to accelerate your work, you'll fit in immediately.

Key Responsibilities

AI Tooling & Prompt-Driven Workflows

  • Use LLM-based tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) as active working instruments — not just occasionally, but as a core part of how you get things done
  • Build and maintain prompt-driven workflows that reduce manual effort for internal teams
  • Assist in testing, iterating, and documenting agentic systems built by the senior engineer
  • Identify repetitive tasks across the organisation and propose automation-first solutions

Automation & Scripting

  • Write and maintain lightweight automation scripts in Python and/or JavaScript — automating routine ops tasks, data flows, and SaaS integrations
  • Work with tools like Make, n8n, or Zapier to build and maintain workflow automations
  • Support the integration of internal tools via APIs and webhooks under the guidance of the senior engineer
  • Keep automations documented, reliable, and easy for others to understand

IT Operations Support

  • Handle day-to-day operational tasks across our SaaS stack — access provisioning, offboarding, troubleshooting, and routine administration
  • Apply basic security hygiene: access reviews, audit log checks, RBAC hygiene
  • Respond to internal IT requests and escalate where appropriate
  • Support incident handling and contribute to process documentation

What We're Looking For

Must have

  • 2–3 years of experience in an IT, operations, or technical support role — enough to work independently on routine tasks
  • Working knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript — you can read, modify, and write scripts without needing hand-holding on syntax
  • Hands-on experience with at least one automation platform (Make, n8n, Zapier, or similar)
  • Active use of AI tools in your day-to-day work — personal projects, side builds, or prompt experiments all count
  • High ownership mindset: you manage your tasks, flag blockers early, and don't wait to be chased
  • Strong written English — async communication is how we work
  • Comfortable in remote, international environments with minimal supervision
  • Available to overlap with US business hours (EST/PST) for key meetings

Nice to have

  • Any experience with Claude, the Anthropic API, or MCP integrations
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and/or Notion administration
  • Exposure to SSO, RBAC, or SOC 2 concepts
  • Prior experience in a startup or fast-moving tech environment
  • Personal automation or AI projects you can point to — GitHub repos, side tools, anything you've shipped

Why Join Us

  • A structured growth path: you'll be working directly under a senior engineer who will invest in your development
  • Real ownership from day one — you're not a ticket-closer, you're a builder
  • Work at the intersection of AI and internal tooling — your work gets used by your teammates every day
  • High autonomy, no bureaucracy, technically strong international team
  • 20 working days of PTO per year
  • US holidays and additional days off
