Project Overview:

We are seeking skilled writers, editors, journalists, English teachers, and other language professionals to work as project consultants in our AI Labor Marketplace. This is not a full-time employment position - you will be engaged as an expert project consultant on a contract basis.

Location: U.S.-based experts only

Engagement: Part-time, project-based expert evaluation work

Work Type: Remote

In this role, consultants will evaluate AI-generated responses within conversational scenarios. Contributors will assess the creativity and overall quality of written responses using structured evaluation guidelines, assign ratings on a Likert scale, and provide detailed reasoning to support their evaluations. Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills are essential for success.

This is a project-based consultant role. Consultants will be paid on a per-project basis; hourly rates are estimates based upon anticipated time of completion. Consultants will control their own schedule, provide their own tools to perform the work, and are free to simultaneously provide services to other vendors and employers to the extent permitted by those vendors and employers.

Responsibilities:

• Review conversations and AI-generated responses across a variety of topics and use cases.
• Assess creativity, originality, and overall response quality using a structured Likert-scale evaluation framework.
• Provide clear, thoughtful written rationales that justify assigned ratings and highlight strengths and weaknesses.
• Apply evaluation guidelines consistently while exercising sound editorial judgment.
• Identify nuances in tone, style, engagement, and effectiveness of written content.

Expected Outcomes:

• Deliver accurate, consistent, and well-supported evaluations of AI-generated responses.
• Produce high-quality rationales that help improve AI model performance and creativity.
• Maintain adherence to project guidelines and quality standards throughout the engagement.

Qualifications:

• Professional experience in writing, editing, journalism, English instruction, content creation, copywriting, technical writing, or a related field.
• Exceptional written English communication skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to provide objective, evidence-based feedback.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow complex evaluation guidelines.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Experience with data annotation, AI training, content review, or quality assurance is a plus.
