The Challenge
NaviStone is on a mission! We’re moving fast, doubling the size of our business over the next 2 years. As our Internal Help Desk Technician at NaviStone, you will be the first point of contact for all internal technical support requests. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing enterprise operation software, and ensuring our 50+ team members have the tools and access they need to be successful. This role is critical to maintaining our operational efficiency and security posture.
What You’ll Do
  • You will provide frontline technical support to all employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • You will be accountable for managing user accounts and permissions across various platforms, including MS365 and Entra ID.
  • You will administer and support our MDM (Mobile Device Management) software for company devices.
  • You will manage and troubleshoot collaboration tools, including SharePoint, Zoom, and Zoom Rooms.
  • You will provide support and administration for our VPN, ensuring secure remote access.
  • You will deploy, manage, and troubleshoot both Windows and Mac laptops.
  • You will utilize OS imaging software to flash and configure new computers for employees.
  • You will collaborate with human resources to ensure a successful new hire onboarding experience including being available for initial set up and configuration.
  • You will assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of physical hardware and networking equipment as needed.
What You Will Need to Succeed
  • You have 1-2 years of prior technical support, help desk, or related IT experience.
  • You have an associate’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • You have strong foundational knowledge in the administration of MS365, Entra ID, and SharePoint.
  • You can be the backup for effectively managing user access and permissions in cloud environments like AWS IAM.
  • You are proficient in supporting both Windows and macOS environments.
  • You have hands-on experience with OS imaging software for computer provisioning.
  • You can manage corporate technology, including MDM solutions, VPNs (specifically Tailscale), and video conferencing systems (Zoom/Zoom Rooms).
  • You are an excellent communicator with a customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
  • You possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have a proven record of being self-motivated to learn and implement new technology solutions.
  • You ideally have an understanding of Ubiquiti networking software and general network administration.
  • You ideally have an understanding of physical hardware maintenance, including server racks and other data center equipment.
Location: Cincinnati, OH in our Over-the-Rhine office; Hybrid role, in office 2-3 days per week
